John 2:11-25

11. In Cana of Galilee did Jesus' signs begin and manifest his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

12. After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his relatives, and his disciples; and they remained there not many days.

13. And the Jewish passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14. And he found sitting in the temple those selling cattle, sheep and doves, and the moneychangers.

15. And fashioning a whip made of rope, he drove them all out of the temple, the sheep also and the cattle, and he poured out the moneychangers' money, and overthrew their tables.

16. And to those selling doves he said, "Take these things away, and do not make my Father's house an emporium."

17. And his disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for your house has consumed me."

18. The Jews, therefore, answered, and said to him, "What sign will you show us, seeing that you are doing these things?"

19. Jesus answered, and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

20. The Jews then said, "In forty six years was this temple built, and you will raise it up in three days?"

21. But he spoke of the temple of his body.

22. When therefore he was risen again from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture, and the word that Jesus had said.

23. Now when he was at Jerusalem, at the passover feast, many believed in his name, seeing the signs which he was doing.

24. But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for he knew all men,

25. And because he did not need anyone to give an account of man, for he knew what was in man.
